Mass at church is on the days and times shown on the “Times” page. It is face to face and also streamed online on Sundays only via the Facebook – click on the link below (or copy and paste it into your internet browser). If you have never accessed our Mass online before please contact Fr. Joseph for details on how to do this through the church Facebook group. His contact details are on this website (under “Contacts” of course):

Confessions are available before and after any Mass or on request.

ASSISTED SUICIDE – there is still work to do as the Committee stage of legalising Assisted Suicide has removed most of the safeguards and replaced them with “conditions that have no consequences if not adhered to”. Below are some resources to equip you and encourage you to get involved. Please hold your MP to account over: (1) “strong and proper safeguards” because two of our local MPs raised that “strong and proper safeguards” were essential for them to support of the Bill; that was in their written replies to constituents or said by them during the debate on 29th November. Please ask them to be true to their word and to attend the 3rd reading in Parliament AND to vote against the Bill because of the lack of effective safeguards. If it is passed “in principle with assurances that the safeguards will be added by 2029” this is a deception as there is no way of enforcing such changes once the Bill becomes law. (2) Ask your MP how detecting coercion is going to happen, given it is so hard to pick up in Domestic Abuse cases; ask them about what level of assurance they will need. (3) the large increased costs to impliment the Bill will pull away funding for radically improving Palliative Care/Hospices. Such funding is vital if people are to have an effective choice at the end of life. Ask them if they will they push hard for that to be in place before any Assisted Suicide is legalised. (4) Since funding Palliative Care and Hospices properly by Government was raised repeatedly during the 29th November debate, ask them specifically will they still vote in favour of the Bill at the 3rd reading if there is no significant change in Government funding definitely approved by then?

MORE RESOURCES to help you compose a letter to your MP are on: “NOTICES” page, sub-heading “EVENTS” page. Two of the 3 documents are aimed at health care professionals but are helpful insights for everyone. The Christian Institute/CMF briefing is very helpful to all (online link added in case does not display well – e.g. on phones).

PLEASE read these resources and then PLEASE act (Micah ch 6 verse 8 applies). https://www.writetothem.com/ is the website to use to write to your MP – include you name, address, email address and a phone number at the start of any communication.

We are a Roman Catholic Church located on Beverley Road in Kingston upon Hull. We are just near the start of the dual carriageway, when heading out of the city centre, in the centre of “The Village” Hull University Student Accommodation buildings. We are a friendly welcoming church with, before COVID struck,  about 200 on average on Sundays;  squeezing in 405 for First Communion Sunday in 2018 was a real challenge but we managed it. We have a number of active groups and good fellowship.

Parking is available on Beverley Road (please do not obstruct driveways of neighbouring houses) and on Sundays the car park linked to The Village (student accommodation) is available – turn into driveway (which runs between the 2 blocks of buildings) and immediately turn right into the fenced off area.

For those with a disability parking at the door of the church is possible, but this fills up quickly as space is very limited.
